M2 Artículo sobre juegos de mesa

El juego es una actividad innata en los animales que los impulsa a conocer y experimentar el mundo. Desde que nacemos somos una fuente inagotable de actividad: mirar, tocar, manipular, curiosear, inventar, expresar, imaginar…en definitiva, jugar.  De igual forma es imposible habar del ser humano sin hablar del juego, ya que el juego forma parte de su naturaleza y lo desarrolla durante toda su vida; imprescindible para su crecimiento y su salud física y mental. Sin duda, el juego es síntoma de salud. El niño que juega es un niño sano y el adulto que juega también. Por eso el juego es reconocido como un derecho de los niños y niñas y una necesidad para los adultos.

Dentro de los juegos encontramos los juegos de mesa. Como su nombre indica son juegos que se desarrollan habitualmente en una mesa. Pueden tener tablero, cartas, fichas, dados, peones, etc... como componentes para el desarrollo de su mecánica. No implican actividad física aunque algunos puedan requerir alguna parte activa como levantarte de la silla. Son adecuados para jugar en lugares cerrados, como en casa o en el aula del colegio.

Los juegos de mesa son un entretenimiento que aportan numerosas ventajas y cada vez más expertos en distintas disciplinas educativas y de desarrollo, tales como profesores o psicólogos, explican que los juegos de mesa son muy beneficiosos, en especial para los menores. Pero, a parte del mero hecho de ser una actividad divertida, ¿Cuáles son estos beneficios?

- Enseñan normas.

- Enseñan a tolerar la frustración.

- Fomentan la socialización.

- Desarrollo cognitivo.
